Interview with Joanne:	Questions About the Name "Joaohn".
Question:	Why do you call yourself "Joaohn"?  Can you tell us where this name came from?
Joanne:	The name "Joaohn" is a combination of "Joanne" and "John"... and it was a contraction that my husband { ex/="Jim"} made during the years when we lived in Shebandowan, Ontario: in a cabin in the woods...  it's like, the name is "joanne", and if you picture the letter 'a' holding a balloon that has the wor 'oh' on it - like - "Oh!" - you know - - - like, "Surprise!" or whatever - so, the name is "Joanne" with "oh" (or plus  oh) equals .. "Joaohn" - and that is pretty much the way life is - all around, for me.

Question:	"So, you say that you know John Lennon?"
Joanne:	"No.  I say that I have experienced  - and continue to experience - an encounter with something .. which reminds me very much - of John.   Whether it actually is - him - or - how it can be - or whatever it is - it makes me feel - as though I have - encountered John. To say exactly 'What" it is I experience.. one has to draw on - tales.. myths - legends... religious stories - philosophies- or theories - in science - which are like .. languages (to me any way) - languages that seek to describe - or explain the phenomena that one experiences. but what I have experienced are these moments- emotional and thought reactions - and responces - to things that happen - which are.. - not 'me' - not something that I would have come up with - or thought of - they are - like- out of character .. for me.  and they make me think of John. I have these spontaneus reactions- to things.  And they are - humorous - (or at least - they make me laugh and I think they are funny).. and they remind me - of John.  they are very macabre - at times- sort of dark - twisted humor - and scandalous- thoughts  Flashes of - I - you know.. the way John was.
Question:	Can you give any examples?
Joanne	There are moments- that happen constantly - it is like - a tap on the shoulder - or - a nudge - those glances - constant / constant contatct.. but then - there are times when I am going aong, doing - whatever - just being sort of - unaware... and then some thought or saying- word - will come along - and suddenly - I am reminded-
	and an example - there was a day that I was reading an article on a John Lennon - related website- and the article was about the healthy benefits of eating - or drinking - water mixed with fresh lemons: lemon juice.  And - it was a fairly long article - it took 45 minutes - or so - for me to read the article.. and so, it went on and on about the benefits of drinking lemon water.. vitamins that fight cancer / can cure jaundice / ... and another one was that - women who experience excessive bleeding during their menstrual period - when they are menstruating - bleeding - you know - that drinking lemon water regularly can help regulate that... that it can reduce the bleeding... and then they went on to tell you which kinds of lemons / etc. are best.. ok - so - I finished reading this article- and it was especially interesting to me because - I have eight daughters and some of them have the problem of bleeding excessively and so, my mind was pre-occupied with thoughts toward them... and I was framing thoughts in my mind - - ways that I could talk to them - to tell them what I heard and how it might help them... and so - there I am - occupied totally with all these thought... and menawhile, I click over o another "John Lennon" site... and I begin reading the aricle on their front page.. and on this site - there is this aricle withch starts out talking about John Lennon's death.. relating that night - and the incident...
	and - some where near the end of the first or second paragraph, the description says something like - "as John lay there on the sidewalk hemorahging his life and blood pouring out on the pavement...." and this thought came through - of - "someone should have given him some lemon water."

Joanne: cont...	very serious like --just like that - and - - it was like hearing John's voice - you know = the way he sounded - the way he spoke -.. his low voice / quips... and of course - I sort of - choked - or -- look up - as it were... you know - shake my head and laugh with that self conscious.. embarassed - sort of feelilng John so often evoked with his jokes, remarks.. because one also senses the quirky, wry smile that always followed peoples' reactions to remarks like that... John - the way he was... So that is one example - and moments like that happen... lots.   lots.
Question:	"Self-conscious embarassment" ... can you explain what you mean by that reaction?
Joanne:	Yes - well - for me - I felt like, "Oh, I should not be laughing at that - because it was a joke about his death - and - that was not funny!- Especially to me- and then I think we even had an 'argument' or - a discussion - of - you know.. like - I asid, "Oh- that is very bad - you should not be joking like that" - or - "Only YOU- could make a joke about that" .. and he reponded with thoughts like - "Well - yeah - that is probably true" - or - whatever - you know - John... making jokes about his death... and then he would say something like.. "Anything to make you smile, Joanne."  Yeah. that is what happens. ***_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _***
